1. Welcome to BAASIL

BAASIL is your long-term Employment Companion. By creating an account you agree to use BAASIL to genuinely support your employment journey and to treat any Employment Coach, Mentor or Employment Consultant you connect with respectfully. These Terms & Conditions form a legally binding agreement between you and BAASIL.

2. Your account

You must be old enough to enter into a legal contract in your state or territory. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for making sure the information you add is truthful. Resumes, cover letters and applications submitted through BAASIL are your own work — BAASIL helps you present it in its best light.

3. Employment Coach accounts

Employment Coaches, Mentors and Employment Service Providers may register a separate account to support companions. Coaches agree to only access companion information for genuine employment support, to keep all information confidential and to follow the same acceptable-use rules as companions.

4. Your Employment Journey

BAASIL is more than a resume tool. Over time BAASIL builds a living Employment Journey for you — including your profile, contact details, resume versions, work history, qualifications, licences, applications, interview progress, Employment Readiness, Coach recommendations, daily missions and notes. This information stays connected to your account so BAASIL can keep helping you throughout your career.

5. Multiple resume storage

You may store multiple resume versions in your BAASIL account — for different industries, roles or applications. Each version remains yours and can be edited, downloaded or deleted at any time.

6. AI guidance, Interview Coach, Resume Builder

BAASIL provides guidance through its Resume Builder, Interview Coach, Application Tracker, Job Search, training recommendations and other tools powered by Artificial Intelligence. These features are guidance only — see our AI Disclaimer for detail. You remain responsible for the decisions you make and the applications you submit.

7. Third-party websites and job boards

BAASIL may link to or surface content from third-party services including SEEK, Indeed, Jora, Gumtree, Google Maps and other job boards or employment partners. Those services are provided by their own operators and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. BAASIL is not responsible for content, availability or decisions made by those third parties.

8. Employment Notifications

BAASIL may contact you by email, SMS, in-app notification or similar methods with information directly related to supporting your employment journey — including job opportunities, resume updates, interview reminders, licence renewals, training recommendations, Employment Coach communications and platform updates.

You control which notifications you receive. Change your preferences or unsubscribe from optional notifications at any time from My Companion Preferences.

9. Employment Coach connections

You can invite an Employment Coach or Mentor into your Employment Companion. They only see what you allow, and you can remove access at any time. BAASIL is not responsible for advice given by a Coach or Mentor outside the platform.

10. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of the content you create in BAASIL — including your resumes, cover letters and notes. You grant BAASIL a limited licence to store, process and display your content so we can provide the service to you. The BAASIL name, brand, software, design and content are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights and remain the property of BAASIL. You must not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the platform.

11. Acceptable use, platform misuse and suspension

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. Accounts that impersonate others, submit false information, spam Coaches or employers, upload malicious files or misuse another companion's data may be warned, restricted or permanently suspended.

12. Security

BAASIL protects your account with industry-standard authentication and encrypted connections. You must keep your login details private and let us know straight away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

13. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer-protection laws. Where BAASIL is unable to exclude a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited (to the extent permitted by law) to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and the state or territory in which BAASIL is registered. You and BAASIL submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state or territory.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as BAASIL grows. When we do, we will let you know inside the app and update the "Last updated" date above.
